Job summary

SAM is seeking a field-ready teammate to support surveying and mapping operations across multiple project sites. You will assist crew chiefs, collect data with GNSS and total stations, and help ensure accurate field notes and computations.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and 0–2 years in surveying. Expect outdoor work in all weather and required travel as needed, with competitive hourly pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.
  • 0-2 years of relevant surveying experience.
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in various weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel/stay out of town as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support field crew by gathering data for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
  • Assist in field surveys under Crew Chief supervision; communicate progress.
  • Operate land survey equipment like robotic total stations and GNSS receivers.
  • Collect geospatial data and perform survey computations.
  • Read and interpret maps and plans; maintain neat field notes.
