Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Geospatial Engineer to collect and process military geographic information and support commanders with visualization of terrain.

You will create geographic data, maintain geospatial databases, and prepare military-style briefs on terrain. Training includes Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training, with paid on-the-job instruction and tuition assistance through the Guard.

Qualifications

• Military enlistment required in the Army National Guard.
• Must be 17–35 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Must pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Willing to complete Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

Responsibilities

• Create geographic data and compile them into maps.
• Create and maintain multiple geospatial databases.
• Prepare military-style briefs covering terrain and geospatial analyses.
