Job summary

The Army National Guard seeks a Geospatial Engineer to collect and process geographic information from decentralized sources, present it to leaders, and support battlefield decisions in real time.

You will create maps, maintain geospatial databases, and prepare terrain briefs to guide field operations. Training includes Basic and Advanced Individual Training with potential civilian career paths in surveying and cartography.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Imagery interpretation and exploitation skills.
• Must be at least a high school junior or hold a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Create geographic data and compile them into maps.
• Create and maintain geospatial databases.
• Prepare military-style briefs covering all aspects of the terrain.
