Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Geospatial Engineer to collect, process, and visualize geographic information for military operations and disaster relief. You will create geospatial data, build maps and databases, and present terrain briefs to leaders for battlefield decision-making.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and 20 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems.
• Imagery interpretation and exploitation.
• Interest in geography, maps, and charts.

Responsibilities

• Create geographic data and compile them into maps.
• Create and maintain multiple geospatial databases.
• Prepare military-style briefs covering all aspects of the terrain.
