Job summary

The Army National Guard is seeking a Geospatial Engineer to collect and process geographic information from diverse sources and present this information to leaders to support battlefield visualization.

You will create geographic data, maps, and geospatial databases, and participate in topographic surveying and planning, with training through Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT).

Qualifications

• Military enlistment in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.
• Must meet citizenship requirements per NATIONALGUARD.com.

Responsibilities

• Create geographic data and compile them into maps.
• Create and maintain multiple geospatial databases.
• Prepare military-style briefs covering all aspects of the terrain.
• Supervise topographic surveying, cartography, and photolithography activities.
