Job summary

Reinventing Geospatial, Inc. in Herndon, VA is seeking a Big Data Analyst to evaluate datasets and guide decision making for defense and intelligence programs. You will shape data engineering approaches and work closely with software developers to implement feedback.

On-site in Herndon, VA with Springfield, VA as needed, you will identify gaps in data, support end users as SME, and bring clear, actionable insights to government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a CI polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
• At least 5 years of experience as a data analyst, data scientist or similar.
• Experience formulating a repeatable process for data evaluations and communicating findings to government officials.
• In-depth knowledge of technical data types including Technical Telemetry Data and telecom protocol data (cellular, wi-fi).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Experience with Software Engineers to validate implementations.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Spark, PySpark or similar.
• On-site in Herndon, VA, with Springfield, VA as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing and developing dataset evaluations and assessments to inform government decision making.
• Shaping data engineering approaches for analytic tradecraft improvements within applications.
• Identifying and documenting gaps within data corpus and analytical capabilities.
• Working with software developers to field requirements and provide feedback as changes are implemented.
• Working with end-users to provide SME support for various data or application questions and requests.
