Job summary

Harris Computer is seeking a player-coach sales leader with GIS expertise to manage a personal territory while guiding a sales team. This remote role covers the US with occasional travel to customer sites and GIS conferences.

You will own pipeline, forecast, budget, and coaching, using AI tools to research opportunities, run the full sales cycle, and explain AI capabilities to non-technical buyers. A track record in B2B software sales and GIS experience is required.

Qualifications

5+ years of B2B software sales with a track record of meeting or beating quota.
Experience leading or coaching a sales team while carrying own number.
Experience selling GIS, mapping, or location software or services.
Experience building a team forecast and presenting it to leadership.
Experience managing or contributing to a sales budget.
Working knowledge of GIS tools and concepts (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS, spatial data, web maps).
Experience with public sector or utility buyers, including RFPs and long sales cycles.
Ability to explain AI concepts to non-technical buyers clearly.

Responsibilities

Sell (your own territory) and own a personal quota.
Run the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, pricing, and closing.
Lead, coach, and grow the sales team; set territories and quotas.
Own pipeline, bookings forecast, and CRM data quality; manage the budget.
Explain GIS workflows and AI capabilities to customers; work with Product team.
