Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Entry-Level Geoscientist to join our team.

The successful applicant will be supervised by our Lead Geophysicist and will work with our remote sensing, geospatial field services, and geotechnical engineering teams on renewable energy and other power-related projects. Responsibilities include planning geophysical surveys, processing data, coordinating site investigations, and preparing deliverables and proposals.

Qualifications

• Completion or near completion of a B.S. or M.S. in geological sciences.
• 1–3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience collecting/processing near-surface geophysical data (GPR, magnetometers).
• Familiarity with geotechnical engineering, remote sensing, and GIS analysis.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan geophysical surveys and acquire field data (GPR, resistivity, magnetometer).
• Process and interpret ground-based and aerial geophysical/remote sensing data.
• Lead on-site coordination of geotechnical site investigations.
• Prepare geophysical, remote sensing, and geotechnical deliverables and proposals.
• Report progress and status to management.
