Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Entry-Level Geoscientist to join our team. You will work under supervision with our Lead Geophysicist and collaborate with remote sensing, geospatial field services, and geotechnical teams on renewable energy and other power-related projects.

You will engage in geophysical and geotechnical fieldwork, data processing, and report and proposal preparation, contributing to high-level professional services for clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. in geological sciences.1-3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Experience collecting and processing near-surface geophysical data, especially GPR and magnetometers.
• Familiarity with geotechnical engineering, remote sensing basics, and GIS analysis.

Responsibilities

• Plan geophysical surveys and acquire data (GPR, resistivity, magnetometer) in the field.
• Process and interpret ground-based and aerial geophysical and remote sensing data (LiDAR, imagery).
• Coordinate on-site geotechnical site investigations, manage drilling subcontractors, log soil samples, perform testing.
