Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled GIS Specialist to support our Renewables team. The role focuses on spatial analysis, cartography, and data management across diverse projects in energy and infrastructure.

You will work with clients and internal teams to develop innovative GIS solutions, automate tasks, and maintain geospatial datasets, ensuring accuracy and quality across desktop and mobile platforms.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of GIS experience in a related field.
• Degree in GIS, geography, or related field with demonstrated GIS capabilities.
• Proficiency in spatial analysis, cartography, and GIS data management.
• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS platform and related GIS software.
• Experience developing and maintaining GIS applications and scripts for automation.
• Familiarity with current GIS technology trends and integrating innovative workflows.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with clients and mentoring junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Perform spatial analyses, create maps, and manage GIS datasets.
• Interpret data independently and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Develop efficient GIS workflows and automate routine tasks.
• Produce mapping products using ArcGIS Platform to meet project needs.
• Deliver clear, technically proficient spatial data in print and digital formats.
• Integrate GIS data across desktop and mobile applications.
• Mentor and train junior GIS specialists on best practices.
