Schnabel Inc. invites applications for a temporary full-time Geologist Intern in the Geosciences group in Greensboro, NC.

You will join a team of engineering geologists to support dam, tunnel, and geohazard projects across the United States, applying geologic principles under the supervision of senior professionals. The role emphasizes broadening practical knowledge through field and office work, with travel and long field days required.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a geology bachelor’s or master’s program.
• Good oral and written communication skills including field note-taking.
• Willingness to perform office and field tasks and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform geological and geotechnical field work including data collection and observing subsurface explorations.
• Create basic plans and figures using AutoCAD, GIS, Leapfrog, or similar tools.
• Support geologists and engineers with proposals and reports.
