Job summary

Baptist Health ER & Urgent Care – Georgetown is seeking a Nursing Assistant II (Emergency Department Technician) to join the ED team in Georgetown, KY.

The role supports patient care under the supervision of the ED RN, performs specimen collection, data entry, and assists with department flow. Requires KY Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first year nursing school and BLS; high school diploma; prior lab or customer service experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first year nursing clinical with validation.
• BLS certification required; must obtain within 30 days of hire date.
• Data entry and computer experience preferred; phlebotomy/POCT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Functions within the ED team under the supervision of the ED RN.
• Assists with patient care and department flow and communication.
• Collects, processes, transports and analyzes specimens per policy.
• Maintains clean, organized work area to support efficient ED operations.
