Patients seeking medical attention can visit this facility for their healthcare needs.**Description:*** The Nursing Assistant II (Emergency Department Technician) functions within the multidisciplinary team that cares for the ED patient under the direction and supervision of the ED Registered Nurse.* Demonstrates excellent communication and coordination of patient care/department flow.* Working knowledge of appropriate computer functions and systems for assigned duties.* Maintains work area to ensure efficient operation and workflow.* Collects, process, transports and analyzes specimens according to approved standards of testing per laboratory policies and procedures.* Demonstrates proficiency in patient care, according to hospital policies and procedures.**Requirements:*** High School Diploma or equivalent* Current Kentucky Nurse Aide Certification required or successful completion of first year clinical classes in nursing school and validation of a clinical consistent with level of education.* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
