Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant II (Emergency Department Technician) for the Lexington, KY ED. You will support the ED team, assist with patient care, and help manage department flow during third shift.

The role requires a KY Nurse Aide Certification or completion of early nursing coursework, plus BLS. Prior lab, data entry, or phlebotomy experience is a plus. Join a hospital focused on clinical excellence and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current KY Nurse Aide Certification or completion of first-year nursing clinical with validation.
• BLS certification required; must obtain within 30 days of hire if not certified.
• Laboratory/data entry or customer service experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy or point-of-care testing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist ED nurses with patient care and department flow.
• Collect, process, transport and analyze specimens per policy.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area to support efficient workflow.
• Communicate effectively within the multidisciplinary team.
