Job summary

Amentum is seeking engineering professionals to support the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) Program in Dahlgren, VA. On-site position requiring a Secret clearance and strong collaboration with DoD and naval customers.

Ideal candidates have education in physics/physical sciences, mathematics, statistics, data science, engineering, or related technical fields and up to 5 years of experience. Travel to local sites may be required; excellent communication with customers and teams is

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
Strong communication and collaboration with customers and engineers.
Ability to perform analysis and problem-solving in scientific/engineering work.
Willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide geophysical analysis in support of systems engineering and software engineering efforts.
Apply physics, physical sciences, mathematics, statistics, and/or data science principles to support technical analysis.
Perform analysis and problem-solving activities in support of professional scientific and engineering work.
Support the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) Program and related Naval projects.
Work independently and collaboratively within established teams and across organizations to meet goals and schedules.
Communicate effectively with customers, engineering personnel, and other technical stakeholders.
