Job summary

Amentum is seeking software engineering professionals to support Naval projects in Dahlgren, VA, focusing on Simulink modeling for the SLBM system. You will work on-site, contributing to Agile development and collaborating with a Senior developer across multiple contracts.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of experience, a technical degree, and an active Secret clearance. Travel between local sites and access to customer facilities are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering, or another applicable technical field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of software engineering experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers and engineering personnel.
• Active Secret U.S. Government clearance; U.S. citizenship required to maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform Simulink modeling in support of Naval projects and programs.
• Model within the Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) weapon system.
• Support a Senior Amentum developer using Agile development principles.
• Apply Simulink experience and Agile development familiarity to project requirements.
• Conduct analysis and problem-solving for professional engineering work.
• Work independently and with teams to meet schedule-driven goals.
