Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation is offering a summer geology internship at Bald Mountain, NV. The role supports the geologic staff with routine tasks and special projects while aligning daily functions to Kinross values. Housing is provided for the duration of the internship.

You will assist in pit mapping, ore control, drilling, sampling, and data organization. Ideal candidates are college students pursuing geology with 2+ years toward the degree and 0–2 years related geology experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years toward geology degree and 0–2 years geology experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older and authorized to work in the United States full time.
• Must possess valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff geologist in pit mapping, ore control, and slope monitoring.
• Assist exploration geologist in field mapping and geochemical sampling.
• Perform drill rig sampling and monitoring in development and exploration drilling.
• Prepare, catalog and store samples; support other dept. personnel.
