Job summary

A leading technology firm in Austin is looking for a Research Scientist Associate II to assist in mineral resource assessment and geologic mapping initiatives. This role involves utilizing GIS and satellite imagery to produce geologic maps and reports. Candidates should have a relevant MS or BS in Geology with requisite experience, and familiarity with mineral resources is preferred. The position offers a salary starting at $65,000, commensurate with qualifications.

Qualifications

• MS in Geology or related discipline with no experience, or BS in Geology with at least 2 years experience.
• Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in mineral resource assessment, characterization and mapping efforts.
• Assist with Mineral Resource Program tasks utilizing GIS and database development.
• Drafting and producing geologic maps, reports, and data associated with projects.
