Job summary

Kelly Science & Clinical seeks a Core Lab Technician for a client in north Houston, TX. The role tests geological samples to detect petroleum, gas, or mineral deposits per client protocols and reports findings to production teams.

You will prepare samples, operate and maintain laboratory equipment, and handle daily tasks to meet production requirements, with occasional overtime. Requires a geology or science degree and 0–2 years lab experience; must lift 30 pounds and use basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a science discipline or equivalent lab experience.
• 0-2 years’ experience with high pressure/high temperature lab testing preferred.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and operate laboratory equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test and analyze samples to determine characteristics using lab equipment and protocols.
• Prepare solid and fluid samples for analysis.
• Assemble, operate, and maintain lab testing and measuring equipment.
• Record testing data for review and analysis.
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed.
• Meet daily and monthly production requirements.
