Job summary

Job Description

Work with geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, and engineers to prepare maps, cross‑sections, spreadsheets, PowerPoint and other presentation materials for oil & gas prospects. Update project daily for drilling wells. Organize log and core data.

Job Requirements
  • 3+ years experience as a geological technician.
  • Experience using Petra preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree a plus, preferably in math, geology, or computer science.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong technical background with mathematics and computer skills.
  • Proficiency in Kingdom, Petrel, PowerLog, Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Access preferred (training available).
  • Familiarity with drilling, wireline log data and core data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work individually and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, handle large volumes of data and multi‑task.
  • Previous experience working with geologists, petrophysicists and/or geophysicists desirable.
  • Position level commensurate with experience.
