Job summary

Core Laboratories seeks a laboratory technician to perform routine tests and support senior staff in a fast-paced lab environment. The role requires following defined standards, maintaining safety practices, and assisting in instrument calibration and sample preparation.

Training on petroleum, chemical, and gas analysis is provided. The candidate should have a high school diploma (bachelor’s in geology preferred) and strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams in a

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related science is preferred.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools to develop lab testing systems for reservoir simulations.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand all analysis and safety standards in English (ASTM, UOP, IP).
• Assist senior lab personnel in setting up, adjusting and operating laboratory equipment after training.
• Assist in or perform basic analytical tests per defined standards and procedures.
• Laboratory technicians must be able to perform tests per standards and good lab practices.
• Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment.
• Assist in calibrating laboratory instruments after proper training.
• Prepare chemical solutions according to standard formulas.
• Attend training and pass safety, Right-to-Know, and compliance examinations.
