Job summary

Turner & Townsend alinea seeks a Geologist for the Thacker Pass Lithium Clay project in northern Nevada. The operation is moving from development to production, offering the chance to shape key geological processes and long‑term operations.

The role supports ore‑control drilling, geological interpretation, block modeling, QA/QC, and production reconciliation, collaborating with mine operations, engineering, environmental teams, and contractors. We welcome entry to senior candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or a closely related geoscience discipline required.
• Entry-level to experienced candidates encouraged to apply.
• Experience with surface mining, exploration drilling, ore control, geological modeling, or production geology preferred for experienced candidates.
• Knowledge of geology, geochemistry, geological modeling, and hydrology.
• Knowledge of lithium deposits and sedimentary geology is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret geological, structural, geochemical, and assay data.
• Plan, coordinate, and support ore-control drilling programs, with ownership based on experience.
• Interpret drilling results and integrate information into short-range geological models.
• Support or lead ore-control activities to ensure ore is identified and mined efficiently.
• Develop, update, and maintain short-range geological, structural, and assay block models for mine planning.
• Perform and maintain ore-control and production reconciliation tracking.
• Coordinate with and provide technical oversight to drilling contractors and other contractors.
