Job summary

ANS Geo LLC in Columbus, OH seeks a Geologist II to conduct geotechnical and geophysical investigations for renewable energy projects, including solar and wind farms. Responsibilities include soil borings, rock cores, ERI/MASW/GPR surveys, and coordinating lab testing to determine properties and site conditions.

You will prepare detailed reports with findings, provide recommendations for foundations and slope stability, and oversee field exploration activities while maintaining client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field required.
• 6 months of experience in geology or related field preferred.
• Travel up to 30% domestically.
• Experience with geotechnical and geophysical investigations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical investigations including soil borings, test pits, rock coring, and pile load testing.
• Perform geophysical surveys (ERI, MASW, GPR, seismic refraction) to evaluate subsurface conditions.
• Analyze field and laboratory data; prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports with recommendations.
• Coordinate field activities, scheduling, and subcontractors; ensure safety and environmental compliance.
