Job summary

NewRange Copper Nickel LLC is seeking a Geologist to log drill core, support drill program execution, and deliver interpretations for resource modelling and mine planning. You will operate in a safety-conscious environment, with duties spanning fieldwork, core logging, data management, and collaboration with contractors.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Geoscience or equivalent, experience in mineral exploration, and familiarity with ArcGIS/Leapfrog, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience or related field, or equivalent combo of education and experience.
• Experience with mineral exploration and igneous petrology.
• ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Excel and PowerPoint are assets.
• First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, and/or MSHA certifications are assets.

Responsibilities

• Geological logging and interpretation of drill core.
• Collect geotechnical and physical property data from core.
• Coordinate fieldwork with drill and survey contractors.
• Organize data and samples for shipment and digitize geoscience datasets.
• Support resource modeling, mine planning and design with geoscience insights.
