Job summary

NewRange Copper Nickel LLC is seeking a Geologist to log drill core, support drill program execution, and deliver geological interpretations for resource modelling and mine planning. The role requires collaboration with the Geoscience & Land team and exposure to field operations in a mining exploration environment.

The candidate will manage data and samples, support digitization of geoscience datasets, and contribute to safe and efficient project delivery, with on-site work at mining locations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with magmatic sulfide deposits, core logging, geotechnical logging, drill site management, geologic mapping, and geochemical/geophysical applications are assets.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS, Leapfrog, Excel, and PowerPoint is an asset.
• First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, and/or MSHA certification are assets.

Responsibilities

• Geological logging and interpretation of drill core.
• Collect geotechnical and physical property data from drill core.
• Coordinate field activities with drill and survey contractors.
• Prepare samples for shipment and manage data in the data management system.
• Integrate geoscience data into resource modelling, mine planning, and design.
• Perform additional duties as required.
