Job summary

TenOaks Energy Advisors seeks an experienced geotechnical professional to join its investment banking technical team, owning Petra geologic database and GIS datasets, and supporting materials for deal work across the energy sector. You will map, clean, and quality-control large subsurface data, generate polished exhibits, and manage data quality for internal and client deliverables.

Qualifications

3+ years of Petra experience, including database ownership and project-management responsibilities.
3+ years of GIS experience (QGIS / ArcGIS / ArcGIS Pro).
Bachelor's degree in geology/geoscience, GIS/geography, or a related technical field.
5+ years of relevant industry experience; upstream oil & gas focus strongly preferred.
Experience with large datasets, data quality control, and mapping aesthetics.

Responsibilities

Own and manage Petra geologic database, including cleanup and optimization.
Handle large subsurface and land datasets in organized, consistent form.
Collect, organize, and quality-control geologic data from clients, archives, and publications.
Create maps and edit published geologic materials for virtual data rooms.
Produce polished GIS exhibits and reconcile spatial data across deals.
Work with geologists, engineers, and financial professionals on confidential evaluations.
Manage multiple deals and map projects, delivering ahead of deadlines.
Maintain strict QC and accuracy across geologic and geospatial materials.
