Job summary

Petro-Hunt, L.L.C. is seeking a Geoscience Data Technician to organize and maintain upstream E&P data in our Dallas area office.

The role supports geologists and geophysicists by managing geological datasets, well logs, core analyses, and seismic data to ensure accurate, high-quality databases. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field, 2–10 years of experience, and familiarity with Kingdom Suite, ArcGIS, SQL, and basic Python scripting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, GIS, Earth Sciences, or related field.
• 2–10 years of relevant experience preferred; recent graduates welcome.
• Experience with geological software and data handling is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee intake, indexing, QC, and archival of G&G data.
• Manage subsurface databases and projects; ensure data integrity.
• Support geologists and geophysicists in workflows and map making.
• Develop G&G data policies and governance practices.
• Assist in regulatory exhibits for hearings.
