Job summary

TenOaks Energy Advisors is seeking a Geologist to work alongside the technical and commercial A&D marketing teams. This role will contribute to the geoscience function of upstream A&D evaluation with a goal to generate high-quality geologic analysis and technical materials to be presented to the client and counterparties in support of TenOaks/RedOaks advisory services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in geology from an accredited university.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant oil & gas or A&D banking experience as a Geologist.
• Experience across 3+ basins and multiple reservoirs.
• Experience with geologic analysis and mapping for deal presentations.
• Ability to present analyses to clients and defend technical material.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with subsurface team and engineers on divestiture mandates.
• Perform technical evaluations including subsurface analysis, analogue work, and reservoir studies.
• Prepare clear, data-driven materials and maps for clients and counterparties.
• Ensure technical accuracy of geologic material and defend analyses in front of clients.
