Job summary

Qualifications

• Completed coursework related to geology or earth sciences.
• Experience with data entry or databases.
• Experience with tools, equipment, or photography.
• Enrollment in at least 6 credit hours during spring and fall semesters is required.

Responsibilities

• Move and re-shelve geological materials, including heavy boxes of rock core.
• Sort, clean, re-box, inventory, and organize materials in storage facilities.
• Transport samples between locations and operate carts or forklifts (training provided).
• Database entry and inventory tracking for wells and rock samples.
• Basic rock preparation and photography of core samples for documentation.
