Job summary

Obility is seeking a GEO & SEO Strategy Director to own how we approach organic growth for B2B clients in a fast-moving AI-driven landscape. You’ll lead off-site presence, AI tooling, and GEO strategy, building playbooks and Claude workflows while mentoring the team.

You’ll work with content, social, and sales to shape service design, pricing, and client outcomes, translating complex AI search concepts into actionable recommendations for executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading GEO and SEO initiatives for B2B tech clients.
• Proven ability to build playbooks and workflows for AI-enabled search.
• Strong leadership and mentorship of SEO strategists.

Responsibilities

• Own Obility's GEO methodology and set the direction for how the agency approaches AI search
• Build the playbooks, frameworks, and Claude workflows that the SEO-GEO team runs day to day
• Mentor SEO strategists on GEO work and raise the baseline capability of the team
• Partner with the Director of Growth & Operations on service design, positioning, and differentiation
• Help scope and price GEO work for new business and participate in sales conversations where expertise moves the deal
• Own AI search strategy for a portfolio of B2B clients, from research to reporting
• Monitor brand visibility in AI Overviews and diagnosis why a client is cited or not
• Build content designed to be retrieved by language models and ranked by Google
• Track sources AI systems pull from and push client into them
• Develop Reddit strategy and optimize LinkedIn/YouTube for AI answers
• Pursue placement in third-party lists and publications with partner platforms
• Partner with Content and Organic Social to integrate off-site mentions
• Build Claude skills and workflows for recurring deliverables
• Automate audits, visibility monitoring, and reporting pulls
• Prototype internal tooling to fill gaps
• Document workflows for team handoff
• Lead technical SEO work and on-site content updates
• Drive keyword research and content collections
• Own SEO measurement frameworks and quarterly client reports
• Present to senior leaders and guide decision-making
• Translate AI concepts into actionable recommendations
• Write case studies and share findings publicly
• Collaborate with Content, Organic Social, Paid
