Job summary

LiquidPiston is seeking a Mechanical Integration Engineer to join the genset application development team. This hands-on role focuses on design, integration, and packaging of advanced rotary engines into compact gensets.

You will create detailed SolidWorks models, lead architecture and layout, perform analyses, develop production drawings, and collaborate with electrical and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions. Prior packaging experience in engine systems is valued.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years in engine component design and simulation.
• Experience packaging multiple subsystems into a full system.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, integration, and packaging of genset engine systems.
• Create detailed part and assembly models in SolidWorks.
• Perform component and system-level analyses using hand calculations and simulations.
• Create and release production-ready technical drawings.
• Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and machine shops from RFQ to inspection.
• Support genset assembly, prototyping, and testing.
• Develop subsystem test plans and document results.
• Present technical results to stakeholders.
