Job summary

Foundation Medicine is seeking a Medical Reporting Curator in Boston to perform dry lab analysis and interpretation of next generation sequencing data for personalized cancer reports. You will collaborate with scientists to review medical content and help craft concise, accurate patient reports.

Responsibilities include updating database content, delivering high-quality results within SOP-driven turnarounds, and supporting software and reporting development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, genetics, biochemistry or closely related field with 4+ years of relevant work experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work under deadline pressure.
• Understanding of HIPAA and patient data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Apply scientific knowledge to improve FMI's clinical oncology knowledgebase.
• Collaborate with FMI scientists to review and refine medical content.
• Organize, refine, and revise report information for patient and physician understanding.
• Retrieve database content to prepare reports describing patient test results.
• Review genomic variant calls using IGV and other tools with scientific team.
