Job summary

Tempus AI is seeking a Software Engineer to advance Genomics AI initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative team. You will design, implement, and deliver core features, mentor engineers, and leverage AI tools to accelerate development.

The role requires 3+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, React, and cloud platforms (GCP or AWS). You will work on relational databases like PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, and build RESTful/GraphQL APIs within microservice architectures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development in an agile environment.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js and React.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI coding tools and agents.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL) and caching (Redis).
• RESTful/GraphQL APIs and microservice architectures.
• Cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, implementation, and delivery of core features.
• Integrate GenAI tools and autonomous coding agents to accelerate development.
• Write clean, resilient code using enterprise design patterns.
• Contribute to microservice and database architecture decisions.
• Identify dependencies, surface roadblocks, and coordinate with teams.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
