Job summary

Children’s Cardiology, a subsidiary of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, seeks an Allied Health Administrative Coordinator to support the Cardiogenetic Program and Genetic Counselors. You will assist with testing, scheduling, and coordination of patient care in a collaborative team environment.

The role involves triaging referrals, placing test orders, managing records in RedCap, and maintaining calendars with Qgenda and Outlook. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with problem solving.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills and follow-through.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement projects.
• Team oriented and maintains confidentiality.
• Provide administrative support to the cardiogenetic program.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the cardiogenetic program.
• Triage referrals, schedule visits, and coordinate related operations.
• Place genetic test orders in lab portals under guidance of Genetic Counselors.
• Distribute results to Genetic Counselors and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Coordinate medical records requests and authorizations; manage data in RedCap.
• Maintain Genetic Counseling calendars (Master schedule, Qgenda, Outlook).
• Assist with coordinating follow-up care and referrals to Medical Genetics.
• Support quality improvement initiatives with Clinical Operations.
• Obtain cheek swab samples under supervision.
