Job summary

Piedmont Heart Institute is seeking a Genetic Counselor to support the cardiac genetics program. You will provide counseling, coordinate tests, and follow up with patients, while collaborating with referring providers and clinical teams to promote optimal outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s in Genetic Counseling, ABGC board certification, and Georgia licensure at hire, with experience in cardiology and proficiency in Epic and Progeny.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Genetic Counseling from an ABGC/ABMG accredited program.
• At least 1 year of genetic counseling experience; cardiology experience preferred.
• ABGC board certification and Georgia licensing required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide genetic counseling, test coordination and follow-up for cardiac patients.
• Educate referring providers and clinical teams on genetic testing and results.
• Engage in genetics program activities and outreach to support patient care.
• Document and manage patient data in Epic/Progeny as appropriate.
