Job summary

Energy Systems seeks a skilled generator technician to service industrial power solutions. You will diagnose and repair generators, conduct preventive maintenance, and interpret manuals and schematics to ensure safe operation.

Role requires after-hours availability, handling heavy equipment, and adherence to PPE and safety policies. Field work includes commissioning and reporting on site at industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for long periods and perform physically demanding work.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Willingness to perform after-hours field service and travel as needed.
• Compliance with PPE requirements and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical, electrical troubleshooting and repair of generators.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during and outside normal hours as directed.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on generators.
• Read manuals, schematics, and work orders to execute maintenance.
• Detect faulty operations and report issues to the service manager promptly.
• Stay current with NFPA and state regulations for Emergency Power Supply Systems.
• Create reports for work performed and communicate findings.
• Conduct equipment commissioning for industrial products.
