Job summary

Sudden Service, Inc. is seeking a skilled field service technician to diagnose, repair, and service diesel and gas engines at customer sites. You will plan travel with the service manager and perform on-site maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, replacing parts, testing systems, and completing all job paperwork promptly. Travel and overnight stays may be required as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Experience with diesel and/or gas engines, servicing and repair.
• Electrical knowledge including wiring diagrams; AC and DC.

Responsibilities

• Plan work and travel with Service Manager, prioritizing customer needs.
• Diagnoses malfunctions; repairs/replaces worn parts; installs assemblies to keep machines operating.
• Provides tools and arranges facilities for on-site repairs at customer locations.
• Inspects, tests, and ensures proper function after repair.
• Completes work orders and related paperwork in a timely manner.
