Job summary

Sudden Service, INC is seeking a field service technician to diagnose and repair diesel or gas engines, install assemblies, and perform preventive maintenance on generator sets at customer sites. You will coordinate travel with the Service Manager and document work orders.

The role requires a strong safety mindset, customer service skills, and willingness to travel. Successful candidates will have hands-on diesel/gas engine experience, the ability to read electrical diagrams, and a valid

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with diesel and/or gas engines including servicing and repairing.
• Electrical experience and wiring knowledge; ability to read diagrams.
• Power generation experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan effective work and travel with Service Manager, prioritizing customer needs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and repair/replace parts; install assemblies and test.
• Provide tools/parts and arrange facilities for on-site repairs at customer locations.
• Inspect, operate, and test machines on delivery, during service intervals, and after repairs.
