Job summary

Taylor Sudden Service seeks a field technician to diagnose and repair diesel and gas engines, service generators, and perform on-site installations. You will coordinate with the Service Manager to plan travel and priorities, and you’ll document work orders and inspections accurately for billing and records.

This role requires physical stamina, problem solving, and the ability to work with customers in person.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Experience with diesel and/or gas engines including servicing and repairing.
• Electrical experience and knowledge of wiring, diagrams, and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Consults with Service Manager to plan work and travel schedule to meet customer needs.
• Diagnoses malfunctions, repairs or replaces parts, and installs new assemblies.
• Inspects, tests, and ensures proper functioning of equipment after service.
• Fills out work orders, inspections, and related paperwork promptly.
• Promotes company image and works with customers on-site or on their premises.
