Job summary

Generac channel partner is seeking a field service technician to service and repair standby generators at residential and commercial sites in the Solon, OH area. You will perform on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs with a company vehicle and be responsible for delivering quality workmanship.

The role requires 2–5 years of mechanical experience, ability to read technical manuals, and willingness to lift up to 50 lbs. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a mechanical setting.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance, load bank testing, and engine diagnostics.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and service manuals.
• Basic set of tools; specialty tools will be provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and work outside.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair generators: change air filters, change oil, check battery levels, check spark plugs, etc.
• Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and troubleshooting for customers generators (includes DC & AC Voltage equipment)
• Work independently or with a small team and company vehicle servicing residential and commercial standby generators
• Involves multiple appointments per day
• Provide excellent customer service, craftsmanship, and attention to detail with your work
