Job summary

Generac Channel Partner in Denver, NC is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to service and repair residential and commercial standby generators in the local area.

You will perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service. This role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and readiness to work outdoors and travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience minimum in a mechanical setting.
• Preventative maintenance, load bank testing, and engine diagnostics knowledge.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and service manuals.
• Basic set of tools; specialty tools will be provided.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work outdoors.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair generators: change air filters, change oil, check battery levels, check spark plugs, etc.
• Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and troubleshooting for customers generators (includes DC & AC Voltage equipment)
• Work independently or with a small team and company vehicle servicing residential and commercial standby generators
• Involves multiple appointments per day
• Provide excellent customer service, craftsmanship, and attention to detail with your work
