Corbin Electrical in Marlboro, NJ is seeking a Generator Service Technician to help maintain and repair residential standby generators. The role involves servicing generators from 8kW to 24kW, performing diagnostics, and ensuring system reliability and safety for homeowners.

You will troubleshoot issues, monitor performance, and communicate effectively with customers and dispatchers while upholding a professional image and neat appearance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience within a mechanical environment.
• Generator experience within residential, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical documents and service manuals for diagnostics and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance or repairs to power generation systems, including generators and automatic transfer switches.
• Perform unit repairs on mostly air cooled generators typically ranging in size from 8kw to 24kw.
• Diagnose or troubleshoot problems with systems failures and other warranty issues.
• Monitor periodically to ensure proper functioning and performance.
• Prepare and submit compliance, operational, and safety forms or reports.
• Maintain truck inventory by monitoring and requesting materials required.
• Communicate timely for restocking needs.
• Keep customers and service dispatchers informed of job progress, parts availability, cost estimates and job completion.
