Job summary

Home Power Systems, part of TurnPoint Services, is seeking an experienced Generator Service Technician to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of residential and light commercial standby generators.

The ideal candidate has a strong electrical and mechanical background, experience with natural gas and propane-fueled systems, and a valid driver's license, with a commitment to safety and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of generator/electrical/mechanical service experience (Generac, Kohler, Cummins or Briggs & Stratton preferred).
• State electrician or mechanical license preferred; manufacturer certifications a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preventive maintenance on standby generator systems including oil changes, filter replacements, and battery testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and fuel system issues on generators and ATS.
• Safety and compliance with OSHA, NEC, NFPA standards; accurately document work orders and inspection reports.
