Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks a Generator Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of generator systems from 2KW to 3MW in shop and field environments. The role requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, customer focus, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate will have several years of generator industry experience or related technical backgrounds, including ATS and paralleling systems.

Qualifications

• Several years of generator service experience or equivalent military/technical background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting aptitude.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform generator service and maintenance in shop and field environments.
• Troubleshoot diesel and gaseous fuel systems and perform engine repairs.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical problems using drawings and manuals.
• Read schematics and utilize diagnostic tools to identify issues.
• Install replacement parts and complete system evaluations per manufacturer specs.
• Communicate effectively with customers and document service reports clearly.
• Share knowledge with technicians and apprentices to ensure quality repairs.
