Job summary

Penco Electric & Generators in the Chicagoland area is seeking a Generator Service Manager to oversee the service department in Niles, IL. This full-time, on-site role manages technician schedules, coordinates customer appointments, and ensures timely maintenance and repair work while upholding safety and manufacturer standards.

You will lead a team, prepare estimates, manage parts and inventory, and collaborate with sales and admin to improve processes and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience with residential and commercial generator systems including maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Background in electrical or mechanical fields; familiarity with Generac products is beneficial.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with experience scheduling, supervising, and coaching technicians.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
• Organizational and time-management skills for handling multiple service calls, parts ordering, and documentation.
