Penco Electric & Generators in the Greater Chicago area is seeking a Generator Installer to manage residential standby generator installations from initial setup through final commissioning, perform electrical work, panel upgrades, and related troubleshooting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with backup power systems, strict safety and code compliance, strong problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and outstanding customer service on every project.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical field experience and generator installation.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Valid driver''s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation of residential standby generator systems from start to finish.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure generator systems operate reliably.
• Execute residential electrical work including wiring and panel upgrades.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
• Ensure safety regulations and company standards are met.
• Coordinate with office and operations on progress and completion status.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle inventory.
• Deliver professional customer service and high workmanship on every project.
