Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. in Durham, NC is seeking a QC Technician with progression from Inspector to Senior Tester to support inspections, testing, and documentation of generator systems in a manufacturing and outdoor testing environment.

The role requires basic high school education, NFPA 70E certification, and the ability to read electrical schematics, interpret manuals, and operate safety-critical equipment. You will perform FATs, assist with ISO/UL standards, and contribute to quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• NFPA 70E certification is required or can be provided by PowerSecure.
• Ability to read safety rules, manuals, and instructions.
• Ability to document test results and specs precisely.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic for measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and testing per quality standards.
• Record test results and component specifications accurately.
• Move equipment using forklift or pallet jack.
• Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
