Job summary

PowerSecure, Inc. seeks a PowerGeneration Quality Control Technician for 2nd shift at our on-site manufacturing facility.

You will perform inspections and functional testing on generator systems to ensure electrical code compliance, proper operation, and safe energization prior to shipment. Responsibilities include documenting results, operating forklifts, loading test sequences, and maintaining PPE and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience considered.
• NFPA70E required (can be provided by PowerSecure).
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and directions in English.
• Ability to document test results and product specifications clearly.
• Ability to perform unit conversions and basic electrical measurements.
• Willingness to wear PPE and work in confined spaces.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience with switchgear, electrical, or generator systems.

Responsibilities

• Locate and track documentation for specific jobs.
• Run procedural tests and inspections per gear type requirements.
• Load files and test sequences from project notes.
• Record test results and component specs accurately.
• Move gear using forklift or pallet jack.
• Remove and reinstall panels up to 50 lb.
• Other duties as assigned.
