Peak Rentals is seeking a Generator Mechanic to repair and maintain generators and light towers, including forced air heaters. Daily tasks include assessing equipment, performing routine maintenance, fueling, oil/filter changes, and diagnosing faults for emergency repairs. Company truck and tools provided.

The role requires inspecting systems, scheduling major repairs, and documenting activities, with emphasis on clear communication with management and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
• Diagnose and repair trailer-mounted diesel generators 25–400 kW and light towers.
• Experience working on trailers; basic welding skills preferred.
• Understand safety procedures and precautions; basic computer literacy is required.
• Travel to off-site locations for repairs; commensurate with job needs.
• Ability to use battery/charging system test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic inspections of generators, lights, and heaters.
• SCHEDULE and oversee major repairs; maintain required documentation.
• Diagnose faults and repair generator emergencies; communicate with management.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment; operate company vehicle as needed.
• On-call to respond to emergency call-outs; ensure compliance with safety standards.
