Job summary

Peak Rentals is seeking a Generator Mechanic to repair and maintain generators and light towers, plus related systems. The role includes daily equipment assessment, routine maintenance such as fueling, oil and filter changes, and diagnosing faults to handle emergencies.

Workers are provided with a company truck and tools; the position requires on-site work with potential travel for off-site repairs. The team emphasizes safety and clear communication with management on maintenance status.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
• Diagnose and repair trailer-mounted, diesel powered generators 25 KW to 400 KW and light towers.
• Experience working on trailers.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Ability to understand necessary safety procedures and precautions.
• Intermediate knowledge of computer/laptop.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic inspections.
• Schedule and oversight of major repairs.
• Complete required documentation.
• Excellent communication with management on status of repairs and/or maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment at all times.
• Function on-call to respond to emergency call-outs.
